Growing ever bolder in their naked grab for power they are leaving scorched earth behind those who disagree with them. This is why Dick Gephardt, Joe Lieberman, and Zell Miller no longer find themselves included in the modern Democratic Party. What is left over for the Democrats are wildly anti-American, anti-God, and anti-biblical leftists who are now bragging about their use of brute force to crush the voices of those who disagree with them. Perhaps that's why this week in one of the boldest moves yet by a sitting liberal, Democrat Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez proclaimed, "The real purpose of SB 1437 is to outlaw traditional perspectives on marriage and family in the state school system." He continued, "The way you correct a wrong (perspective) is by outlawing.'Cause if you don't outlaw it, then people's biases tend to take over and dominate the perspective and the point of view." Nunez's solution to the people he disagrees with is to outlaw their ability to disagree with him.
Governor singles out physicians
Southern California recently experienced a collective calamity respecting the fires that spread throughout our land. Deplorably, there was some tragedy but not because we didn't try. The fires were costly involving personal loss, economic loss and emotionally exhausting.Many, especially firefighters, worked diligently, putting in long hours. Yes, the firefighters received paychecks, but it was because of their extensive training and experience and their dedication to the job and devotion to the people they serve that they prevailed against the inferno. Although there was a large support team that was immensely important, it was the firefighters facing the flames, the heat, the danger and the mental and physical challenges that made success happen. .
Plaxico's prediction doesn't upset Giant teammates
But no one criticized him for saying Monday that the Giants will beat the Patriots, 23-17. For a team that's been counted out before each of its last two playoff wins, no one thinks victory is out of reach against the perfect Pats.
"Are we supposed to say we're going to lose? What do you want us to say?" Antonio Pierce said yesterday at Super Bowl Media Day. "We want to win the game. We're not here to be second-best to anybody. We came here to win a game. If you want to consider that a guarantee, it's not. We're not going to think negative and say we're going to lose and have the same perception everybody else has about us."
