Mutagenic for bacteria and/or yeast" "The substance may be toxic to blood, liver, central nervous system(CNS). Repeated or prolonged exposure to the substances can produce target organs damage." Tricaprylmethyammonimum chloride There is no information or documentation about this substance or how chronic exposure to it can effect human health. In other words, even in small doses, it signals people's bodies to take a specific biological action. Even small doses could affect hormonal functions by causing the constant production of estrogen. When Identity Trumps Diversity
As a woman of color who graduated from Calvin in 2005, this whole story deeply hurt me. I spent much of my free time as a student at Calvin trying to work on the front lines of the fight against racism. There were many students who championed diversity as well as faculty and staff, but it was obvious that what was said at Calvin in terms of multiculturalism goals and efforts to increase diversity was very far from the truth of what was done in terms of policy and procedure. I can remember meeting with the college’s president at his home for a dinner. I was in a student group called the Multicultural Student Advisory Board (MSAB) The three faculty requirements were discussed as extreme barriers to increasing true racial/cultural diversity at Calvin. President Byker gave much of the same rhetoric as was found in this article.
Voting&Vision:Ballots To Build Progressive Movements
Having spent my entire adult life fighting the backlash that aims to reverse all progressive victories, I'm as hungry for inspiration as anyone. I'm in that 'in-between" generation---too young to be a Baby Boomer who participated in the 1960s, too old to be one of the Millennial Generation. But, we've already had two Baby Boomer presidents representing:Bush I and Bill Clinton and I've voted Green since 1996. Looking to a new generation and a message of hope might be just the tonic our movements—and the nation—need to get closer to the future we want. As another African-American leader understood, holding on to a dream is half the battle for real change. http://blog.myspace.com/lydiahowell Lydia Howell is a Minneapolis journalist, poet, activist and producer/host of "Catalyst:politics & culture" on KFAI Radio, all shows archived for 2 weeks after braodcast at www.kfai.org Contact Author Contact Editor View Other Articles by Author .
